Who We Are

THE SACRED SCREEN

Blending Yoruba Antiquity With Global Cinematic Innovation

The Osun International Film Festival (OIFF) is the premier cultural interface located in Southwestern Nigeria, born to synchronize with the final moments of the world-famous, UNESCO-listed Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove festival.

We believe that narrative is sacred. Our platform acts as a global gateway, offering modern filmmakers an organic, spirit-rich backdrop to broadcast stories of indigenous cultures, avant-garde perspectives, and creative activism. In partnership with the Osun State Government, OIFF elevates cultural diplomacy to cinematic heights.

About Oyeyemi Oyewusi

Founder, Osun International Film Festival

The Osun International Film Festival was born from a profound passion for both cinematic storytelling and the rich, ancestral heritage of the Yoruba people. Observing the global impact of the Osun-Osogbo festival, the realization dawned that our sacred groves and vibrant traditions provided the perfect canvas for a new kind of film festival.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between ancient cultural narratives and modern filmmaking techniques. We created OIFF not just as a screening venue, but as a cultural pilgrimage for filmmakers, artists, and storytellers from around the world. We want every attendee to feel the pulse of Osun, to be inspired by the convergence of spirituality and cinema.

Welcome to a space where tradition meets the silver screen. We look forward to sharing this magical, transformative journey with you.
